Associate Lawyer – Litigation (Family Law)

About the role

McKercher LLP is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join its Family Law Practice Group in Regina. The associate will work closely with senior partners, handling complex family and child‑protection matters while developing advanced courtroom and mediation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Manage family law and child‑protection cases from inception to resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Participate in collaborative mediation sessions and support the growth of the practice group.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of legal experience focused on Family Law and/or Child Protection.
• Ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent legal analysis, judgment, and written/oral communication skills.
• Active membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
• Professionalism, teamwork, and strong relationship‑building capabilities.
