Associate – Internal Audit, Americas Capital Markets

About the Position

Join a premier global financial institution as an Associate within the SG Internal Audit Americas (SGIAA) team. Based in our newly established Montreal hub, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and operational excellence of our Capital Markets activities across the Americas.

Main Missions

• Conduct independent and objective audits of operational entities to ensure compliance with professional standards and Group policies.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management frameworks and the adequacy of internal controls within the Capital Markets division.
• Evaluate the compliance of Group operations with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Identify potential risk exposures and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
• Collaborate with diverse teams across New York, Sao Paulo, and Montreal to deliver thorough and impartial audit reports.

Profile Required

• Strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in internal audit, specifically within Capital Markets or Investment Banking environments.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and international setting, demonstrating high adaptability.
• Strong analytical mindset with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders and diverse business units.
