The University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑stream faculty position in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. The role focuses on teaching excellence and educational leadership, supporting both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
• Develop experiential, project‑based, and laboratory learning experiences.
• Lead curriculum innovation in areas such as engineering design, aerospace, clean energy, and inclusive education.
• Mentor students and junior faculty, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to educational leadership.
• Evidence of innovative instructional practices and curriculum development.
• Strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous reconciliation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering school.
