Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and helping the store meet its sales targets. This role also acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and staff management.
• Handle merchandising, stocking, and unpacking of daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Perform cash management and execute opening and closing duties.
• Assign tasks, maintain store safety, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Participate in hiring and performance management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
