About the role

Join the HomeSense team in Abbotsford as an Assistant Store Manager, supporting the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will help drive sales, manage daily operations, and foster an inclusive environment for both customers and associates.

Key responsibilities

• Support store performance by monitoring sales, controlling expenses, and overseeing merchandising, back‑room, cash office, and customer service.
• Lead loss‑prevention initiatives, minimize shrink and damages, and ensure accurate markdowns and inventory handling.
• Recruit, train, and develop associates, acting as a mentor and role model to build a high‑performing team.
• Implement action plans for company initiatives, store changes, and succession planning.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and scheduling to maintain efficient store operations.
• Analyze store layout and processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the capacity to give effective feedback.
• Experience in managing store operations, customer service, and loss‑prevention programs.
