Assistant Professor Tenure Track Positions in Management

About the role

The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus is seeking two full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professors in Management. The positions start on July 1, 2027 (or an agreed date) and focus on both general and strategic management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high‑impact research program with publications in leading management and strategy journals.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management and supervise Ph.D. students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program.
• Participate actively in departmental service, professional activities, and initiatives promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Contribute to curriculum development and other academic initiatives within the Faculty of Management.

Required profile

• Near‑completion or completed Ph.D. from an AACSB‑accredited business school in general or strategic management.
• Demonstrated research potential with publications or a clear path to high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Expertise in empirical research methods relevant to the discipline.
• Excellence in teaching management courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional education and service.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of CAD 140,000 – 190,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
