Assistant Professor Tenure Track – Operations & Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus seeks two full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professors in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Appointments are expected to start on July 1, 2027, or a mutually agreed date.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an active, high‑impact research program that publishes in leading journals.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in operations and supply chain management.
• Supervise Ph.D. students within the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program.
• Contribute to departmental service, curriculum development, and external outreach.

Required profile

• Near‑completion or completion of a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, or Industrial Engineering.
• Demonstrated research potential with publications or a clear plan for high‑quality peer‑reviewed articles.
• Ability to attract external research funding, including Tri‑Agency and industry‑partnered grants.
• Excellence in teaching and communication, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work ethic.
