Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

Ferrari Quebec is looking for a disciplined, detail‑oriented Assistant Financial Controller to support the dealership’s financial operations, reporting, internal controls, compliance, and day‑to‑day accounting functions. The role works closely with the Controller, management, auditors and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and operational discipline in a high‑performance luxury automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, departmental expenses and financial trends.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Support internal controls, compliance requirements, tax matters and Ferrari standards.
• Assist with audits, banking requirements and external advisor requests.
• Collaborate with department leaders on expense tracking, budget monitoring and operational reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and controls.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting, finance, controllership support or financial management support.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end procedures, reconciliations, reporting and account analysis.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls and compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, confidentiality and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, structured environment.
• Automotive dealership, luxury automotive, luxury retail or premium brand experience considered an asset.
• CPA designation, CPA candidacy or equivalent accounting experience preferred.
