About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking an Assembler for the day shift at its Vaudreuil‑Dorion facility. The role involves a variety of assembly tasks, from cleaning and preparation to testing and inspection, supporting the production of photonic and optical components.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare parts using simple chemical cleaning procedures.
  • Mount products and components with epoxy and solder, including hybrid sub‑assemblies.
  • Hand‑mark devices and perform fiber‑optic attachment.
  • Test completed components and assemblies.
  • Fabricate sub‑assemblies for final products.
  • Use the SAP system for transaction processing as needed.
  • Assist the Team Leader in training new employees and perform other related duties.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and visual acuity.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Required skills

  • Chemical cleaning techniques.
  • Epoxy and soldering skills.
  • Fiber‑optic attachment.
  • Basic SAP data‑entry proficiency.
