Architectural Intern / Junior Designer – Calgary

About the role

Our client, a well‑established architecture and design practice in Calgary, is seeking a motivated Architectural Intern or Junior Architectural Designer. This position offers hands‑on involvement across all design phases, from concept through construction documentation and site work, within a collaborative studio environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings, Revit models, renderings, and presentation materials.
• Contribute to concept development, space planning, and detailed construction documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables.
• Attend site visits, conduct field reviews, and support construction administration.
• Research materials, products, systems, and industry trends to inform project decisions.
• Help ensure documentation complies with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited Canadian university.
• Minimum of 3 years professional architectural experience.
• Eligibility to register with the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) Internship program.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design creativity and technical competence.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
