Architect – Justice Facilities

About the role

The Justice Architect will join a multidisciplinary design team to create functional, secure, and aesthetically appropriate judicial facilities. You will be responsible for delivering design solutions that meet budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements while supporting the legal process.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse project requirements from reports, codes, and stakeholder input.
• Develop architectural concepts, drawings, and 3D models that align with project goals.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, MEP, and structural disciplines.
• Integrate site survey data, field reviews, and jurisdictional codes into design documents.
• Prepare design reports, construction documents, and presentation materials following office standards.
• Conduct site visits to verify compliance, identify deviations, and work with owners and contractors to resolve issues.
• Review shop drawings and sub‑mittals for adherence to project specifications and quality controls.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of architectural project experience, preferably in justice, courthouse, police, or correctional facilities.
• Completed post‑secondary architectural education.
• Registered with a relevant professional architectural association.
• Proven ability to manage all phases of the project cycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and structural building systems.
• Familiarity with building codes and jurisdictional requirements.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $115,000 per year.
