Apprentice Automotive Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Apprentice Technician to join the Service department at Surrey Honda. This regular full‑time position pays $18.25‑$25.00 per hour and provides the opportunity to work on a wide variety of OEM brands while developing automotive repair skills.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders, perform work efficiently and accurately, and document all actions.
• Communicate with the parts department, tag warranty parts, and ensure parts are available for each job.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and advise the Service Advisor of any changes.
• Road‑test vehicles to verify quality of repairs and keep the shop clean and safe.
• Supervise assigned apprentice technicians and attend factory‑sponsored training.
• Create quotes for additional work and stay current with online training and technical bulletins.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of automotive equipment and strong diagnostic/problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly self‑motivated, organized, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork within the Service department.
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence and ability to provide a driver’s abstract.
