Apprentice Automotive Technician

About the role

Downtown Ford is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join its service team. This position offers hands‑on training in a fast‑paced environment where technology and expert craftsmanship intersect.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside senior technicians to learn brake, transmission, engine, electrical and suspension repairs.
• Assist with comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements and fluid top‑ups.
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in line with company and industry safety standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of brake systems.
