Animateur·rice d’ateliers (French workshop facilitator)

About the role

The Centre d’enseignement du français at McGill University is seeking a bilingual facilitator to lead Jasette workshops that support French language acquisition and intercultural competence among McGill students on campus and throughout Montreal.

Key responsibilities

• Design and animate 6‑8 hours per week of French language and cultural workshops.
• Promote intercultural understanding and exposure to francophone and Montreal culture.
• Collaborate with the CEF team to plan activities, meet deadlines, and ensure workshop quality.
• Participate in short training sessions to enhance pedagogical skills.

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken French and English.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Leadership, creativity, and interest in cultural and educational activity design.
• Organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Interest in the varieties of French, francophone culture, and Montreal culture.
• High school diploma and at least two years of related experience.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $25 CAD.
• Fixed‑term contract from 28 September 2026 to 30 November 2026.
• Part‑time, on‑site work (approximately 8 hours per week).
• Opportunities to attend short professional trainings.
