Analytics Engineer – Financial Services

About the role

Lightspeed’s Financial Services division is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join its FS Data team. You will own the end‑to‑end analytics and reporting pipeline, turning raw data into actionable insights that support product, risk, finance and other critical functions.

Key responsibilities

• Cleanse, transform, and model raw data to enable stakeholder reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with the Central Data Team to design and maintain data pipelines following best practices.
• Ensure data quality, availability, and documentation for the Financial Services organization.
• Write performant, version‑controlled SQL and Python scripts, and automate testing and validation of data models.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Looker dashboards and reports.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
• Security‑focused mindset, familiar with compliance frameworks such as SOX and GDPR.
