Agriculture Professional Development – Research & Technical

About the role

The Ag Professional Development Program – Research & Technical is a 24‑month full‑time rotational position at BASF Agricultural Solutions. Participants will split their time between field research and technical service activities focused on crop protection and seed, working across Canada and reporting to technical service representatives and R&D biologists.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver real‑world assignments in collaboration with BASF Technical Service Representatives and R&D biologists.
• Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams (retail, grower, biology) and external stakeholders such as agronomists, university personnel and customers.
• Develop deep product knowledge and market strategies while acting as a subject‑matter expert for BASF’s crop protection portfolio.
• Communicate effectively, build relationships, and influence key stakeholders to enhance BASF’s reputation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a Master of Science in agronomy, weed science, pathology, entomology, biology or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and customer‑focused with strong influencing skills.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as required; valid driver’s licence.
• Team‑oriented passion for agriculture and excellent communication abilities.
