After-Hours Pager Service Coordinator – Remote

About the role

Realcare Inc. is looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented individual to provide after‑hours pager service coordination from a home office. You will be the first point of contact for shift coverage, ensuring continuity of care for clients across evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and coordinate shift coverage from 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM on weekdays, and all weekends/holidays.
• Take over the phone line promptly at the start of the shift and hand it back at the end.
• Use a landline or cellphone with call display, call waiting and voicemail to avoid missed calls.
• Access fax and email to receive daily notes, calendars and updates from the office.
• Read, confirm and act on pager notes received by 4:00 PM each day.
• Confirm staff availability, replace sick staff, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Refer new client inquiries to the supervisor and escalate major concerns.
• Attend weekly team meetings and update the cloud‑based scheduling system.

Required profile

• Excellent English speaking, comprehension and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Technical proficiency with scheduling software and digital communication tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare or home‑care settings; nursing or health‑care aide experience preferred.
• Dependable, responsive and able to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.

What we offer

• Contract position of approximately 31 hours per week.
• Weekly lump‑sum salary of $527–$589 (CAD), equivalent to $17–$19 per hour.
• Fully remote work‑from‑home arrangement.
