About the role

Associated Ambulance, the second‑largest ambulance operator in Alberta, is hiring Advanced Care Paramedics for permanent, temporary full‑time and casual roles across multiple rural locations. The position involves delivering advanced pre‑hospital medical care and supporting community health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support procedures, including CPR, oxygen therapy, and IV medication administration.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and conduct diagnostic procedures such as blood glucose testing.
• Stabilize injured or ill patients, manage trauma care, assist in childbirth, and transport patients to hospital facilities.
• Collaborate with other emergency medical personnel, physicians, nurses, and health professionals.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program.
• Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s licence with a clean driving abstract.
• Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test within six months of start date.
• Vulnerable sector check clearance.
