About the role
The Administrator provides essential administrative support to residency and fellowship programs within Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) at McGill University. Reporting to the Associate Director, Clinical Student Affairs, the role ensures business continuity, high‑quality operations and sustainable practices across multiple programs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide temporary administrative coverage for residency and fellowship programs, including recruitment, onboarding, transitions and accreditation preparation.
- Maintain day‑to‑day program administration, calendars, schedules, trackers and shared documentation for Program Directors and Assistant Program Directors.
- Review and standardize workflows, documentation and filing systems, creating SOPs, checklists and templates to ensure consistency across programs.
- Support Competence Committee and Residency Program Committee activities, preparing materials, coordinating meetings and handling confidential information.
- Lead quality‑assurance reviews to ensure compliance with Royal College, university policies and accreditation standards.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of relevant administrative experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience coordinating complex schedules, meetings and committee activities.
- Knowledge of postgraduate medical education or accreditation standards is an asset.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills with ability to handle confidential information.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
