About the role
Hydro One is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support its legal and business units in Mississauga for a nine‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role involves handling a wide range of non‑routine correspondence, legal documents and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, process and verify legal documentation such as court pleadings, motions, factums, contracts, construction liens and statutory declarations.
- Transcribe information received via shorthand, dictaphone, long‑hand notes or computer input and ensure accuracy of format, signing authority and corporate seal.
- Liaise with internal business units, courts, government agencies, law firms and process servers to arrange court dates, obtain rulings, conduct property and corporate searches, and serve documents.
- Compile and maintain supervisory expense reports, time sheets, monthly reports, vacation logs and other administrative records.
- Maintain referral and follow‑up control logs to track work in progress according to departmental procedures.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with legal and administrative documents.
- Experience coordinating with external parties such as courts, law firms and government agencies.
- Proficiency in preparing expense reports, time sheets and routine administrative logs.

- Competitive salary range of $60,350 – $78,100 CAD per year.
- Fixed‑term nine‑month contract with the opportunity to work in a leading Ontario utility.
