Accounting Analyst

About the role

Join Poka’s finance team as an Accounting Analyst, reporting to the Assistant Controller. You will help translate financial data into actionable insights for a fast‑growing technology company serving global manufacturing leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Professional Services to evaluate project progress and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Collaborate with Sales to process annual license contracts, including invoicing, revenue accounting, and purchase‑order management.
• Monitor accounts receivable, liaise with account managers, and resolve billing inquiries.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end close activities such as revenue and deferred‑revenue reconciliation and accruals.
• Support the annual audit of the financial statements.
• Answer customer questions related to billing and purchase orders.
• Contribute to internal process optimisation and accounting system enhancements.
• Take part in cross‑functional internal projects.

Required profile

• DEC or higher in Accounting or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive self‑starter with strong analytical abilities.
• Team player who enjoys cross‑department collaboration.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of Salesforce (asset).
• Familiarity with FinancialForce (asset).
• Experience with project management tools (asset).
