Accountant

About the role

Ubisoft, a world leader in the video game and entertainment software industry, is seeking a full‑time accountant for its Finance department. The role is responsible for preparing financial statements for the Canadian studios and supporting a fast‑paced, high‑service environment. The ideal candidate can multitask, analyse balance‑sheet and income‑statement items, and handle special projects under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries, expense reclassifications and accruals as required.
• Perform analyses and account reconciliations on balance sheets and income statements.
• Participate in the month‑end closing process.
• Produce monthly, half‑yearly and annual financial statements and ad‑hoc reports.
• Participate in head‑office monthly reporting using Hyperion Financial Management.
• Handle intercompany billing and reconciliation between local and parent‑company tools.
• Assist in the preparation of half‑yearly and annual audit documentation.
• Support special projects and other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Solid knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Practical experience with large‑scale financial systems such as Peoplesoft, Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a multi‑company environment.
• Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) is an asset.
• Fluent in French.
