Accountant

About the role

Ubisoft Montreal is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Finance department. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements for the Canadian studios and supporting month‑end close activities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries, expense reclassifications and accruals.
• Perform analyses and reconciliations on balance‑sheet and income‑statement items.
• Participate in the month‑end closing process and produce monthly, half‑yearly and annual financial statements.
• Generate ad‑hoc financial reports and support head‑office reporting using Hyperion Financial Management.
• Handle intercompany billing and reconciliation between local and parent‑company tools.
• Assist in the preparation of half‑yearly and annual audit documentation.
• Take part in special projects and other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in accounting (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Solid knowledge of accounting concepts and multi‑company environments.
• Experience working with international parties and remote teams.
• Fluent in French.

• PeopleSoft (or similar large‑scale financial system).
• Oracle.
• SAP.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) – an asset.
