Account Manager – Motion High Power

About the role

ABB is seeking an Account Manager to manage and develop a defined portfolio of customer accounts for drives and motors within Motion High Power in Canada. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role focuses on sustainable growth, profitability and customer satisfaction through strategic account planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of assigned customer accounts, delivering annual sales targets.
• Develop, implement and execute account plans aligned with customer needs and ABB strategy.
• Identify, qualify and develop sales opportunities, managing the pipeline with accurate forecasting.
• Prepare and negotiate technical and commercial offers in line with customer requirements.
• Act as primary contact between customers and internal ABB stakeholders, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor market, competitor activity and customer applications to inform account actions.
• Support pricing strategies, risk and contract reviews, ensuring compliance with ABB commercial and governance policies.
• Analyze won and lost opportunities to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management and sales, preferably within industrial equipment or motion solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customer stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor market trends, competitor activity and pipeline performance.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Understanding of pricing, risk and commercial review processes.
