Academic Tutor

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking enthusiastic educators to join our team of private in‑home and online tutors. You will work with students of all ages, delivering personalized instruction aligned with the Ontario curriculum and helping learners achieve both remedial support and enrichment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic support based on the Ontario curriculum.
• Design customized learning plans that promote deep understanding rather than rote memorisation.
• Offer remedial assistance for struggling students and enrichment challenges for advanced learners.
• Maintain regular communication with parents to report progress, challenges, and successes.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the Ontario College of Teachers, or a qualified teacher in Canada/US (or in the process of certification).
• Teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education, or experienced lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian or U.S. university.
• Passion for teaching, student success, and a commitment to high‑quality education.
