Aboriginal Supported Child Development Support Worker

About the role
The Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD) Support Worker provides family‑centered, inclusive support to Aboriginal children with developmental delays or disabilities. Working one‑on‑one or in small groups, the role focuses on promoting growth, learning and cultural safety.
Key responsibilities
- Use a culturally sensitive and safe framework when working with Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other service providers.
- Maintain accurate records, file documentation, and prepare reports.
- Submit to and clear a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- Maintain a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
Required profile
- Basic early childhood education training, including special‑needs post‑basic training.
- Experience in child‑care or community settings, especially with children requiring extra support.
- Knowledge and understanding of St’át’imc culture.
