2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is hiring a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Ennis. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role keeps production and quality running by ensuring machinery and mechanical equipment operate correctly. The shift runs 4pm to 2am Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the processes of product manufacture and site-specific equipment.
• Maintain the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment using measuring and testing instruments.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment with hand and power tools.
• Inspect power transmission components and assess their wear and remaining useful life.
• Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace following company procedures.

Required profile

• 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience maintaining a safe work environment, with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other safety practices.
• Able to stand for long periods, climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
• Subject to 24-hour call-out, shift and weekend work.

Required skills

• Excellent working knowledge of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to read detailed repair and instruction manuals.
• Ability to work with computer-based maintenance software.
• Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred.
