Wills & Estates Law Clerk – Toronto

About the role

A Toronto‑based wills and estates practice is looking for an experienced Law Clerk to support its lawyers with estate planning and administration matters. The role involves drafting legal documents, assisting with probate applications, and managing client communications under lawyer supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Draft wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents under lawyer supervision.
• Support estate administration, including preparing and filing probate applications and related court documents.
• Prepare estate accounting, correspondence with beneficiaries and executors, and maintain accurate file records.
• Liaise with the Estate Registrar, financial institutions, and other third parties as required.
• Manage multiple estate files simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Law Clerk diploma with a focus on estates, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a wills and estates practice.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario estate administration procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and discretion handling sensitive client matters.
• Compassionate, client‑focused approach.
