Weekend Recovery Home Support Worker

About the role

The Recovery Home Support Worker provides culturally informed crisis intervention and daily‑living assistance to clients living in the men’s and women’s recovery homes on weekends. Working under the supervision of the Recovery Home Supervisor, you will help create a safe, respectful environment that honors Indigenous knowledge and promotes community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver immediate crisis support and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain professional conduct, boundaries, and ethical standards aligned with First Nations values.
• Safekeep medication in accordance with Section 65 of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
• Update client records in the Mustimuhw database.
• Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate with staff.
• Provide coaching, life‑skills teaching, and facilitate social, recreational, and vocational activities.
• Supervise household duties: meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and waste disposal.
• Manage inventory of groceries and household supplies.
• Assist with client intake processes and enforce house rules politely yet assertively.

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Capacity to handle pressure and maintain reliability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Mustimuhw database for client record keeping.
