Web Developer - React Front End

About the role

Presto, a Voice AI company for restaurant drive-thrus, is looking for a Web Developer to build the interfaces and web experiences behind its platform, from internal operator dashboards to customer-facing configuration tools. This is a hands-on engineering role writing production React code, working closely with backend, AI and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain production web applications and responsive front-end apps with React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Create reusable React components and keep state management clean.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with the front end, using Node.js for tooling and light backend services.
• Write clean, tested code, take part in peer code reviews and debug issues across the stack.
• Help define front-end architecture and best practices, and contribute to system design discussions.
• Work with product, design, AI and backend teams to deliver features end-to-end, and explain technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Solid hands-on experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and with building applications in React.
• Experience with Node.js, GraphQL and REST APIs, and with responsive, mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, debugging and testing.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments with a high degree of ownership.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and comfort working asynchronously across time zones.
• Experience with real-time or data-heavy dashboards and interfaces.
• Nice to have: prior experience at a high-growth startup or AI-native company.
