Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

Canada Cartage is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a 24/7, single‑client warehouse of 34,000 sq ft in Rocky View, AB. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure that performance targets, budget goals, and safety standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and development for the warehouse team.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure procedural accuracy and policy compliance.
• Manage the customer account in line with company policies to achieve optimal profitability.
• Maintain staff morale and communication through regular updates.
• Track key performance indicators and drive the team toward target achievement.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and adjust storage profiles to meet customer expectations and budget constraints.
• Implement new standard operating procedures and train employees accordingly.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and efficient space use through supervision and training.
• Oversee safety activities, ensuring compliance with the company’s safety policy and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in a similar warehouse environment; 3PL experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and walkie riders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of best warehouse practices, distribution centre operations, WMS, occupational health & safety, inventory control, RF devices, and sound financial administration.
