Warehouse Colleague

About the role

JYSK Canada is hiring a Warehouse Colleague in Prince George. The colleague keeps the store's logistics up to date by unloading, stocking and retrieving merchandise in the backroom, while helping support the sales floor and cash teams. Safety is the highest priority, and colleagues must follow safe work practices in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Unload, stock and retrieve merchandise in the backroom
• Keep customers informed about new sales and promotions and maintain product presentation on the floor
• Replenish stock, assist with flyer products and pricing changes
• Scan items accurately and quickly at checkout and handle payment transactions
• Follow safe work practices in the warehouse

Required profile

• Ability to operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
• First-class customer service skills
• Ability to make decisions on shipping and receiving that support company guidelines
• Comfortable working independently and seeking assistance when needed
• 1+ year of retail experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physical demands include walking, standing, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying, and using ladders and stock pickers
