VP Business Development – Construction

About the role

Industra is seeking a senior Business Development leader to expand its private‑sector footprint in industrial, water‑treatment and heavy‑civil projects across Canada. The VP will leverage an existing network to secure major contracts and build lasting Indigenous partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national business development strategy targeting industrial, water‑wastewater, heavy‑civil, institutional and energy markets.
• Identify and pursue private‑sector opportunities while maintaining a pipeline of public‑sector projects.
• Build and nurture relationships with owners, developers, engineers, consultants, utilities, municipalities and Indigenous communities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Estimating and Executive Leadership to shape joint‑venture and partnership agreements.
• Support proposal development by providing market intelligence, win strategies and client‑focused content.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of business development experience in construction, with a proven record of winning large projects.
• Established network of owners, consultants, developers and municipal decision‑makers.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities and forming strategic partnerships.
• Strong understanding of design‑build, EPC, construction‑management and traditional delivery models.
