Vice President Commercial

About the role

We are seeking a value‑focused Vice President Commercial to own and drive top‑line growth for an innovative agri‑tech company developing carbon‑based fertilizers and seed coatings. Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the executive team, you will be accountable for revenue, gross margin and market‑share targets while building a high‑performance commercial organization.

Key responsibilities

• Drive top‑line revenue growth through direct B2B sales and sales leadership, meeting ambitious sales, margin and market‑share goals.
• Recruit, build and lead a target‑carrying sales team and a revenue‑focused marketing team, establishing clear targets, pipeline management and a performance culture.
• Develop an annual revenue plan covering product launches, forecasts, territory targets, pricing strategy and channel economics, and report results to the CEO and board.
• Expand the distributor, retail and grower network by prospecting, signing and activating new channel partners.
• Direct the marketing function—including brand, product marketing, demand generation, digital, agronomic content and trade marketing—to generate qualified pipeline and accelerate sales cycles.
• Partner with R&D, production and supply chain to align forecasts with capacity and feed customer insights into product road‑maps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, science, business or marketing; MBA or advanced agronomy credential is a plus.
• 15+ years of progressive commercial experience with a sales‑first orientation, including 5+ years in senior sales roles with direct target ownership.
• Strong knowledge of the agricultural value chain (growers, agronomists, ag‑retail, distribution).
• Proven track record of building and scaling commercial organizations and distribution networks.
