VFMP Patient Programs Coordinator

About the role

This role provides day‑to‑day administrative and operational support for the MD Undergraduate Education Patient Program within UBC’s Faculty of Medicine. The coordinator manages recruitment and scheduling of Standardized Patients, Clinical Teaching Associates and Volunteer Patients for teaching sessions across multiple Lower Mainland sites.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and schedule Standardized Patients (SPs), Clinical Teaching Associates (CTAs) and Volunteer Patients (VPs) to meet session requirements.
• Coordinate daily operations of the VFMP Patient Program portfolio, ensuring deliverables meet provincial standards.
• Collaborate closely with the VFMP Patient Programs Team Lead.
• Travel to various teaching sites and accommodate flexible early‑morning or late‑day teaching sessions.
• Maintain knowledge of university policies and the operational needs of the MD Undergraduate program.

Required profile

• Broad understanding of university policies and MD Undergraduate program operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to multiple sites.
• Capacity to work four in‑person days per week during academic terms.
