About the role

We are seeking a qualified veterinarian to join Abby Veterinary Hospital & Emergency in Abbotsford, BC. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for a variety of animals in both routine and emergency settings.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through examinations and laboratory tests.
• Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, and performing surgery.
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases and provide obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia services.
• Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general animal care.
• Hire, train, and supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.

Required profile

• Attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Physically demanding work with a focus on accuracy, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork.
• 2–3 years of veterinary experience.
