U.S. Corporate Tax Partner (Non-Equity)

About the role

Baker Tilly is seeking a Non‑Equity Partner to lead its growing U.S. corporate tax practice in the Greater Toronto Area. You will own compliance and advisory delivery for a large client base while building the team, processes, and structure needed for continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑volume compliance cycles and meet strict deadlines.
• Scale the team and workflow as demand increases.
• Serve as the go‑to internal resource for U.S. tax matters.
• Support both structured engagements and ad‑hoc client requests.

Required profile

• CPA (US) preferred; CPA (Canada) an asset; EA acceptable.
• Strong U.S. corporate tax compliance and advisory capability.
• Practical exposure to U.S. tax operational delivery and workflow management.
• Familiarity with cross‑border tax considerations and coordination with Canadian teams.
• Exposure to indirect and sales tax workstreams.
• 10–18 years of U.S. tax experience, including leadership roles.
• Current level: Senior Manager, Director, Principal, or Non‑Equity Partner.
• Background in a Big 4, national firm, or U.S.–focused tax group.
