Truck Driver – Tractor Trailer

About the role

We are seeking a reliable truck driver to operate tractor‑trailer rigs across various locations. The role involves long‑haul and short‑haul trips, often as part of a two‑person team, and requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and cargo security.

Key responsibilities

• Drive straight or articulated tractor‑trailer trucks, including lighter and special‑purpose vehicles.
• Operate as part of a convoy or two‑person team, ensuring coordinated travel.
• Inspect vehicle condition daily – tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units, and other equipment.
• Secure cargo with proper tarping and safety measures.
• Complete required documentation such as trip reports, bill of lading, and inspection logs.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 or Class A driver’s licence with Air‑Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Willingness to travel overnight and for extended periods.
• Ability to pass criminal‑record, driving‑record, and drug tests.
• Physical capability to handle loads up to 23 kg and perform on‑site duties.

Required skills

• Air‑Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Operation of trip recorder/on‑board computer systems.
• Proficiency with communication systems used in trucking.
• Documentation handling – bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports.
