Truck Driver

About the role

We are looking for a professional truck driver to operate straight and articulated trucks, transporting goods and materials for Sohum Logistics in Edmonton. The role involves mountain driving, handling dangerous goods, and ensuring vehicle safety on each trip.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods, including dangerous goods.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections of vehicle components such as tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment.
• Load and unload cargo, record hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch, relay cargo information and adhere to safety and drug‑testing policies.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years of truck‑driving experience, including mountain driving.
• Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must pass drug testing and be available for evening, night, on‑call and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Class 1/1F/A licence for semi‑trailer trucks.
• Mountain driving expertise.
