Truck Driver – Full‑time Permanent Position

About the role

We are seeking a reliable truck driver to join our team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will operate a variety of trucks, transport goods across long distances, and ensure safe handling of cargo while adhering to company standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and navigation tools to minimise fuel use and emissions.
• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods safely.
• Operate and drive straight, articulated, dump, flatbed, refrigerated and tractor‑trailer trucks.
• Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes and cold‑storage equipment, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Complete pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance and fuel consumption.
• Handle dangerous goods and ensure proper tarping, security and documentation such as bill of lading and incident reports.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence with Air Brakes endorsement.
• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods, including overnight and weekend trips.
• Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lb) and perform repetitive tasks while seated.

Required skills

• Proficient use of GPS navigation and other routing equipment.
• Operation of on‑board trip recorder and other electronic logging devices.
• Manual transmission vehicle operation.
