Truck Driver – Flatbed & Tractor‑Trailer

About the role

We are seeking a professional truck driver to join Sailors Group Ltd. in Winnipeg. The position involves operating flatbed and tractor‑trailer rigs to transport goods locally and on longer hauls while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy, handling both local and long‑haul routes.
• Load, unload, and tarp cargo, ensuring security and safety of goods.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Monitor vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, and cold‑storage equipment.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, and relay information to central dispatch.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Physically demanding work with attention to detail and ability to sit for extended periods.
• Flexibility, reliability, and strong judgement.
• Willingness to travel overnight and internationally, with valid passport and basic security clearance.

Required skills

• Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi‑trailer trucks).
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Proficiency in operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
