Truck Dispatcher

About the role

The Truck Dispatcher coordinates daily truck movements for Spade Transport Ltd., ensuring timely deliveries across the region. This permanent, full‑time position operates on a shift basis, with early‑morning and flexible hours to match operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch trucks based on customer orders and route availability.
• Communicate dispatch instructions to drivers and monitor their progress.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and update shipment status in real time.
• Respond to on‑call requests and adjust schedules for overtime or emergency deliveries.
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve any delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP education.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in truck dispatch or a related logistics role.
• Availability for shift work, including early‑morning, flexible, and on‑call hours.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
