Transportation Coordinator – Customer Support

About the role

Join Sobeys Inc., one of Canada’s Top 100 employers, as a Transportation Coordinator – Customer Support. You will be the primary point of contact for store teams, coordinating transportation activities, resolving delivery issues, and ensuring on‑time service across a fast‑paced distribution network.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, dispatch and load‑planning teams to schedule and prepare loads for shipment.
• Respond to store‑initiated phone calls, investigate delivery discrepancies, and provide timely feedback.
• Contact customers when transport or regional service centre (RSC) issues arise.
• Support re‑delivery efforts by liaising with Store Operations and East Customer Service while managing cost considerations.
• Review store feedback, develop summary reports for on‑site management, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in KPI and process‑improvement forums, driving innovation, cost control and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of customer‑service experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Patience and experience dealing with difficult people.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
