About the role
The Transport Compliance Officer ensures that commercial vehicles operate in full compliance with provincial and federal regulations governing load limits, hazardous material transport, and public safety. This role involves advising licence holders, conducting inspections, and preparing detailed compliance reports.
Key responsibilities
- Advise licencees on applicable laws and regulations.
- Inspect commercial vehicles to verify compliance with load‑restriction and hazardous‑material rules.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve compliance issues.
- Perform pre‑operational vehicle inspections.
Required profile
- College/CEGEP education.
- 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- By‑law enforcement training courses.
- Health and safety training course.
