Trainer – Mobile Equipment Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Trainer to deliver high‑quality, site‑based training for mobile equipment operators at our Mary River Mine. Reporting to the Training Supervisor, you will ensure operators are competent, safe, and productive through classroom, simulator and field instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs for all mobile equipment, using simulators, classroom sessions and on‑site field work.
• Mentor department coaches and evaluate operator performance on equipment operation and daily tasks.
• Maintain accurate training records, produce reports and provide feedback to managers and supervisors.
• Collaborate with production teams to align training with operational goals.
• Lead safety initiatives, participate in toolbox talks, hazard identification and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years experience in mining, construction, road work, quarry or related heavy‑equipment environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and ability to act as a safety leader.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

• First Aid/CPR certification
• WSCC Supervisor certification
• Tractor‑Trailer Class 1 endorsement (air‑brake preferred)
