Test Engineer – Fluid Pump Performance

About the role

Join Armstrong Fluid Technology, a global leader in fluid‑flow solutions, as a Test Engineer focused on verifying pump performance. You will work in the Scarborough head office, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to generate accurate test data and support product development.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and conduct tests on complete pump units or components under operating conditions, following wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate test stands, measurement instruments, and associated equipment according to schedule.
• Record test results, analyze data, and report findings to supervisors and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with machine shop personnel to modify test specimens or equipment as needed.
• Assist with equipment material test studies and perform necessary inspections.

Required profile

• Technical degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience with hydronic pumps, system testing, and machine‑shop or product assembly.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, able to conduct root‑cause analysis and provide clear recommendations.
