Tenure-Track Professor in Occupational Health & Human Toxicology

About the role
Université Laval’s Department of Social and Preventive Medicine seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track professor to lead teaching and research in occupational health and human toxicology. The position supports undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs, including a specialized graduate diploma in occupational health and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver courses in occupational health and human toxicology across all program levels.
- Develop and manage funded research projects in community, public, or population health related to occupational exposures.
- Supervise graduate students and post‑doctoral fellows.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to strengthen expertise in the field.
- Participate in university, departmental, and professional service activities.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to occupational health or human toxicology.
- Minimum two‑year post‑doctoral experience in a related field.
- Proven record of university‑level teaching and graduate supervision.
- Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Excellent collegiality and ability to work interdisciplinary.
- Fluency in French or commitment to achieve teaching proficiency within three years.
