Temporary RPT Registered Nurse

About the role

The County of Elgin is seeking a Temporary Regular Part‑time (RPT) Registered Nurse to join the care team at Elgin Manor, a 90‑bed long‑term care facility in Southwold, Ontario. You will provide professional nursing care to residents and act as a leader for support staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and documentation for residents.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate Personal Support Workers and Registered Practical Nurses.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level HCP certification.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long‑term care is preferred.
• Strong planning, coordination, and supervisory abilities.
• Good physical and mental health with a professional attitude.

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $39.07 to $56 per hour.
