Temporary Letter Carrier – Ottawa East (South)

About the role
Canada Post is seeking temporary, on‑call delivery agents to join its Ottawa East (South) team. As a Letter Carrier you will be the public face of the organization, ensuring mail and parcels reach customers and businesses on time.
Key responsibilities
- Sort and prepare daily deliveries at the depot.
- Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- Deliver mail and packages on foot or by vehicle along an assigned route.
- Return to the depot to unload incoming items for future delivery.
Required profile
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with at least three years of safe driving record.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg and carry items up to 15.9 kg repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and be on‑call.
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English (French is a plus).
