Telecommunications Equipment Technician

About the role

Join GN Systems Inc. as a Telecommunications Equipment Technician working primarily in Moncton and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining a variety of telecom infrastructure while ensuring safety and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
• Repair cable signals, replace faulty cables, power supplies and amplifiers.
• Diagnose and locate equipment faults, adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment.
• Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and related hardware.
• Install cable modems and configure software to enable Internet access.
• Climb poles, ladders or other structures to perform installations and repairs.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Efficient interpersonal skills, good judgement and reliability.
• Organized team player comfortable working outdoors and at heights.

Required skills

• Cable signal testing and measurement.
• Telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
